Practicum in the effective teaching cycle for students with mild/moderate disabilities. Practicum will occur in a school district in the BYU partnership.

Course Outcomes: 

Classroom management plan

1. Develop a classroom management plan that includes 4-6 operational rules, positive and negative consequences, reinforcement menu and explanation of routines and reward system.

DIBELS and math CBA

2. Administer DIBELS, math CBA assessment to students and record data.

  1. Compile and organize summer teaching materials, including instructional binders.
  2. Practice effective self-reflection skills.
  3. Teach and evaluate language arts and math lessons.
  4. Review forms and expectations for Summer Term 466R.
  5. Set-up summer teaching classroom.
