Data and Symptom Interpretation
This course is designed to allow the student to interpret, evaluate, and correlate laboratory data and clinical symptoms pertaining to specific disease states. Each week several students will present case study presentations covering current lecture content. For example, week two covers carbohydrate metabolism and related disease processes so the assigned students will present patient data focusing on a specific disease such as diabetes mellitus, including symptoms, laboratory findings and treatment.
To receive a passing grade for this course, it is expected that the student will attend all weekly sessions ON TIME with no more than one excused absence permitted and present at least one case study during the semester. Class will be held on each Friday of the semester at 9 a.m.
