Course Outcomes: 

Honors Intro to Jazz

  • Master a basic vocabulary for describing musical events
  • Be able to reproduce a chronology of the most important events (including recordings) in the history of jazz
  • Be able to recognize important styles, pieces, and soloists, by ear
