Communication Skills
In both written and spoken target language, communicate with reasonable accuracy about real-world activities with well-educated members of the target-culture accustomed to dealing with non-native speakers.
Comprehension
Understand every-day written and verbal instructions. Comprehend concrete details and global meaning of intermediate-level written and spoken passages related to familiar topics that native speakers encounter routinely in their daily life.
Cultural Knowledge
Discuss in the target language cultural practices related to every-day life in the target culture. Acquire basic background knowledge of important achievements related to the target culture (historical figures and events, major literary and artistic movements, government and religious institutions, etc.).
