History

Know selected concepts, theories, figures, and texts in the history and philosophy of Western science from antiquity to the contemporary era.

Critical Reading and Writing

Practice philosophical analysis and argumentation orally and in writing; write a cogent and well-referenced research paper on the philosophy of science.

Be able to explain the practice and value of philosophy of science.
