Course Objectives

Learning Outcome

-Students will be able to discuss the major theorists and theories of religion, the major theories of religion advanced, and the relation to various categories of religious practice.  -Students will be able to use ethnographic data to discuss and illustrate major religious and ritual practices, the significance of these practices as symbols, and the consequences of these practices in society and in the individual.
