Upon completion of this course, students will have mastered a basic reading proficiency in French for use in various disciplines or for personal interest. Students will read from a variety of text types in order to learn a range of linguistic structures and vocabulary, and become familiar with essential verbs and common syntax.

For students with little or no French. Graduate students will be graded pass/fail. Undergraduates will receive letter grades.
