Course Description

Performance that specializes in the music and cultural dance of the Native American, Latin, and Polynesian cultures. Performers will focus on technique and analysis, cultural expertise, performance skills, and leadership. \n

Learning Outcome

Students will increase in technique (footwork, core/posture, partnering, focus, etc.) and critical analysis of the cultural dances for the countries, tribes, and nations that they are representing.

Learning Outcome

Students will investigate the cultural significance of the dances they are performing, and the relationship that ancestors had to God and each other through dance.
