Course Description

Evolutionary medicine is the field of study of how Darwinian principles can be applied to understand problems in medicine and public health. Students will learn foundational principles of evolution including genetic processes of adaptation and genetic drift, the origin of life, and the hominin fossil record. With this foundational understanding, students will explore modern examples of evolution and human health problems.
