Course Description

In this course, students learn theory and concepts of bioinformatics algorithms that are used in the field. They gain experience implementing these algorithms and applying them. These algorithms are used in diverse biological disciplines, including genome assembly, phylogenetics, multiple sequence alignment, next-generation sequencing read mapping, gene-expression analysis, and mass-spectrometry analysis.
