Title

Kinematics

Learning Outcome

Understand the kinematics of particles and be able to perform rectilinear and curvilinear analysis of particle motion described in appropriate coordinate systems.

Title

Laws of Motion

Learning Outcome

Understand Newton's Laws of Motion and be able to write and solve the equations of motion for particles and systems of particles in appropriate coordinate systems.

Title

Work and Energy

Learning Outcome

Understand the principles of Work and Energy and Impulse and Momentum as they apply to particles and systems of particles and be able to solve problems appropriate thereto.

Title

Motion of Rigid Bodies

Learning Outcome

Be able to determine the motion of rigid bodies in translation and rotation about a fixed axis and to understand the principles associate with general planar motion.

Title

Problem Solving

Learning Outcome

Be able to apply the principles of Force and Acceleration, Work and Energy, and Impulse and Momentum to rigid bodies and solve problems appropriate thereto.

Title

Vibration

Learning Outcome

Understand the basic concepts of one-degree-of-freedom vibration and solve simple problems related to such motion.
