Course Description

Instruction in the form, meaning, readings, and use of kanji characters corresponding to the first half of the secondary school characters (grades 7 – 9) of the jōyō (regular use) kanji character set.

Students will be able to recognize the form, meaning, and common readings of the first half of the secondary school characters (grades 7 – 9) in the jōyō (regular use) kanji character set.

Students will be able to read and comprehend graded materials using characters from the first 6 grades of the jōyō (regular use) kanji character set and the first half of the secondary school characters (grades 7 – 9).
