This course will focus on the clinical features, neuroimaging findings and the defining pathology of diseases that affect the central and peripheral nervous system.

Clinical presentation of diseases affecting the nervous system

Learning Outcome

Students will analyze clinical case studies and apply appropriate diagnostic criteria for important diseases that affect the nervous system.

Neuroradiological identification of neurological disease

Learning Outcome

Students will identify the neuroimaging findings associated with, and diagnostic of, diseases that affect the nervous system.

Neuropathology of nervous system disease

Learning Outcome

Students will appropriately relate gross anatomical findings, microscopic findings, and pathophysiological markers of the major diseases that affect the nervous system to their clinical case presentations.
