Course Outcomes:
Exercise Physiology for Physical Educators
- Students will deepen their understanding of how the human body functions and maintains homeostatis during the increased metabolic demands of exercise.
- Students will understand the interaction of the nervous, muscle, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic systems at rest and during exercise.
- Students will be able to design an age and developmentally appropriate, sport specific exercise and conditioning prescription for one of the following purposes: endurance, strength, and weight control.
