Software Engineering Lab 1
The first of three experiential learning labs that will provide students with hands-on experience with various tools, technologies, and techniques that software engineers use in practice. In addition to hands-on lab experiences, this course contains lecture and assigned reading content that will provide an understanding of what a software engineering career is and what roles and responsibilities are available to software engineers.

 PrerequisitesC S 142; With instructor consent, may be taken concurrently with C S 203 and 204.
 NoteNote: C S 202, 203, and 204 are designed to be taken in sequence. Note: Students are allowed 1 repeat of each C S undergraduate course (all 100-, 200-, 300- or 400-level courses). This includes all students who received any grade including those who withdraw (receive a "W" grade) from a C S course. Students must wait 1 semester/term before being allowed to take a course they have failed twice. Petitions for exceptions to the policy can be completed at cs.byu.edu/undergraduate-handbook/retake-policy-cs-courses/.
