Other Prerequisites

All capstone projects are required to go through a proposal process before you will be given instructor approval to add the course. Details on the proposal process can be found online and in the dance office. Dance BA students are required to complete Dance 317 before applying to the course.

1. You will design and execute an interdisciplinary project that integrates dance with another field of study (such as pedagogy, research, film, or community engagement), demonstrating critical inquiry and creative problem-solving. 2. You will synthesize theory and practice by applying research methods, reflective writing, or choreogrpahic processes to generate and communicate new understanding within the field of dance.

1. You will demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and accountability by indepnedently managing all stage of your capstone project-from proposal to public presentation-while engaging meaningfully with your mentor and committee. 2.
