Other Prerequisites

BFA acting or BFA MDT or acting pre-major status. By audition only.

Note

Students must attend one Mask Club performance, held Thursdays at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm in the Nelke Theatre.

Acting Skills

Learning Outcome

Using imagination and concentration, students will create performances that integrate their actor's analyses into character behavior that is immediate and vulnerable.

Character and Script Analyses

Learning Outcome

Working from the actor's perspective, students will discern plays' circumstances and character relationships, locate events, define objectives, identify obstacles, and choose fitting actions/tactics.

Students will develop creative and critical thinking skills by writing critiques after viewing performances and reading plays.
