Demonstrating Knowledge of Contemporary Professional Issues with respect and civility

Learning Outcome

Students will demonstrate knowledge of current professional issues: including critical thinking, professional communication,  ethics, multiculturalism, diversity, service delivery areas, scope of practice, advocacy, legal rights, and current certification standards through class discussion, presentations, class writings,  other application activities, while engaging in respectful and civil dialogue and professional behavior in the course learning community.

Learning Outcome

Students will understand, apply and interleave the BYU aims to contemporary professional practice issues and recognize the synergy of individual behaviors  that are spiritually strengthening, intellectually enlarging, character building leading to lifelong learning and service in their personal and professional lives.

Integrating Personal Leadership skills and decision making for future career

Learning Outcome

Students will demonstrate personal leadership skills  for career decision making and  understand professional resources available to them including required certification  standards and processes  for  a  career in Speech Language Pathology and or Audiology. Students will also demonstrate understanding  of  the benefits of their undergraduate education  that extend beyond the fields of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
