Advanced exercises to aid in the understanding and use of optimal vocal technique with emphasis on singing. Continued study and mastery of Standard American Stage Dialect with International Phonetic Alphabet. Lab required.
BFA acting or acting pre-major status. By audition only.
Students must attend one Mask Club performance, held Thursdays at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm in the Nelke Theatre.
International Phonetic Alphabet
Students will demonstrate a continuing mastery of the key characteristics of the International Phonetic Alphabet.
Evaluation and Work Ethic
Students will be able to self-evaluate individual progress and performance, practice effective and supportive peer coaching and evaluation, and apply professional work habits.
Students will demonstrate advanced voice production techniques with special emphasis on singing in performance.
