Title

Course Purpose

Learning Outcome

Students will be able to comprehend and analyze human movement mechanics, and generate recommendations for improvement or intervention.

Title

Physical Laws and Human Movement

Learning Outcome

Demonstrate understanding of mechanical concepts (linear and angular motion, and forces) and corresponding equations.

Title

Application

Learning Outcome

Apply the aforementioned physical concepts to human movement mechanics, especially movement relevant to sport and physical activity.

Title

Observation

Learning Outcome

Deconstruct movement mechanics via direct observation and video.

Title

Communicate

Learning Outcome

Communicate (listen, speak, read, and write) effectively regarding human movement mechanics.

Title

Literature

Learning Outcome

Be able to accurately evaluate related academic peer-reviewed scientific literature.

Title

Recommendations

Learning Outcome

Generate recommendations (as individuals and small teams) for human mechanics improvement or intervention.
