Programming algorithms and using functions to implement the optimization algorithms taught in Math 320. Applications presented. Developing models and applying results of computations to the application domain.

Other Prerequisites

C S 111 or equivalent; concurrent enrollment in Math 320, 345.

Note

Students who register for Math 321 must also register for Math 320, Math 344, and Math 345.

Model Applications

Learning Outcome

Students will be able to model many applications effectively using the concepts covered in Math 320. They will be able to use software to do the computations that are central to these concepts, and will be able to interpret and apply the results of those computations in the contexts in which the models originated.
