Evaluating information

Students will assess the role of observation, reasoning, revelation, and evaluating information in building faith and testimony of Christ and His restored gospel.

Historical Literacy

Students will apply historical literacy strategies when engaged in historical inquiry or when conducting online research or using social media.

Teaching Methods

Students will create lessons and use teaching methods that nurture young students' historical literacies and prepare young people for informed civic engagement.

Prospective teachers will consider the wide variety of textual genres that historians and archeologists use as evidence about the past.

Prospective teachers will explore instructional strategies that help students use historical evidence to support their independently developed historical interpretations.
