Introduction to Exercise Sciences

Exercise Sciences College of Life Sciences

Course Description

Provides new majors with an overview of the Exercise Sciences majors and department. Includes a general review of the field of exercise science and specifically addresses expectations for course work and timelines (MAP review), details on similarities and differences between the undergraduate major options (Exercise Sciences and Exercise and Wellness), introduction to the Master of Athletic Training program, and opportunities for internship and research. Also presents opportunities for introductions to EXSC faculty, career options and possibilities (presentations by practicing allied health professionals), college/university advisement and counseling resources, and post-graduate education options.

Students will also demonstrate knowledge of pertinent resources available through college advisement, university counseling, university accessibility, and career services.
