Title
Meet user needs
Learning Outcome
Analyze users and their environments for the purpose of designing to meet their needs. This empathetic approach to technology is spiritually strengthening, as students learn to look outside themselves and focus on the welfare and experiences of others.
Title
Create human-centered designs
Learning Outcome
Apply an iterative human-centered design cycle to create, develop, and evaluate technology user experiences. Engaging in this cycle of feedback and refinement is character building, fostering the humility to accept critique and the persistence to improve one's work for the benefit of the end user.
Title
Analyze user interfaces
Learning Outcome
Describe and analyze user interfaces for best-practice approaches, including diverse form factors and accessibility issues. Ensuring that technology is inclusive and usable for all is intellectually enlarging, as it challenges students to consider a wide range of human perspectives and physical requirements.
Title
Document user experiences
Learning Outcome
Present and document user experience findings and project results using technical writing and presentation standards. Mastering the art of clear, professional communication facilitates lifelong learning, equipping students with the tools to share knowledge and advocate for better design throughout their professional lives.
