Leadership in the Built Environment

Course Description

This course focuses on the application of Leadership theory and principles to the Owner, Architecture, Engineering, Contractor industry (i.e., the Built Environment). Students will consider key strategies for designing, facilitating, and managing OAEC teams to identify and maximize value in the delivery of projects. Project delivery methods, procurement methods, and contracting approaches will be analyzed and compared for project specific optimization. Additionally, ethics and associated decision making will be analyzed and experienced within a leadership framework.
