Teaching Science with Technology

Physics and Astronomy College of Computational, Mathematical, & Physical Sciences

Course Description

Teaching Science with Technology and Engineering focuses on the technology and engineering applications of STEM and how they can be used in science courses in particular by preservice teachers to help students learn and understand content. We review frameworks and practices that help teachers optimally engage their students in authentic design and activities that provide context to science. We study emerging technologies with immediate application and relevance to High school students. The course is framed within three different projects rooted in 3D printing and design, programming, and using artificial intelligence for teaching.
