Course Description

Barre is a high-energy program focusing on strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic
stability. It is full body sculpting using the ballet barre and small, isometric, concentrated movement—paying
particular attention to correct biomechanics of movement.

Learning Outcome

1. Students will be able to apply biomechanical body awareness principles to create body harmony that is both safe and effective through Barre workouts that increase their agility, strength, and flexibility. 2. Students will be able to explain the techniques and principles of Barre. 3. Students will value and be able to apply general principles of fitness and well-being that will encourage lifelong wellness and assist in the active pursuit of their best selves.
